Demonstrated familiarity with social media platforms and effective problem-solving skills strongly desired. Previous goalkeeping and some coaching experience preferred. The successful candidate will be supportive of and embrace the charism of the Religious Sisters of Mercy, the College’s Founding order, its Catholic identity, Mission and Values. Must be willing to travel and work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays. Ability to communicate effectively and lead small groups within a team setting is also required. Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills a must. Three (3) years of Collegiate playing experience required. Graduate Assistant positions are one-year appointments however, students may apply for and be awarded a 2nd year appointment.Ĭompleted Bachelor’s degree with GPA of 3.0 or above and enrollment in one of the College’s master’s degree programs required. This position is not eligible for remote work or benefits. Graduate Assistants receive an hourly wage and 100% tuition waiver for up to eighteen (18) graduate credits for the 23-24 academic year (typically 9 per semester). This position is expected to work an average of 20 hours per week or 300 hours per semester. The Assistant Coach must comply with NCAA Division III and Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference regulations, and is subject to NCAA enforcement provisions for violations. Finally, the GA will be responsible to lead goalkeeper sessions, assist with outfield sessions, and perform other duties as assigned. ![]() The Assistant Coach will learn about necessary administrative tasks including but not limited to social media, travel, equipment management, etc. This position will assist in the coordination of practice and game day preparation and have the opportunity to assist with and learn scouting techniques for assessing the opposition, scouting and evaluating prospective student-athletes, and compiling scouting reports. The GA will function as the Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer and have the opportunity to learn how to coach, build and develop a successful soccer team.
